From Georgia to Texas with Love

Since my last post I've been working on something that has been really fun and special to my heart.

A family reunion was planned in Texas for our family,  Ron and I took advantage of it to take a trip from Georgia to Texas. I think everyone has a favorite cousin , and I'm no exception. My cousin Cathy, ( who lives in Texas) and I have been redesigning her home over the phone, thru ipad, over the internet and being glued to HGTV channel for years. After collecting some things and getting feed back from some of my friends here in Georgia,we, loaded everything up in the van and away we went. After cousin hugs and screams of excitement. We got to work. We really didn't do anything major just a new look for spring!! I think cousins are our first true friends.. Thanks Cathy  (and Ernie) for letting me share my passion with you. Happy Spring!!

Sweet Day, Sweet Friends and Super Sweet Sugar Bowl!!

The weather has been damp. drizzly, and somewhat depressing, but don't you worry because me and my BFF's, Sue and Carol managed to get a day of great spring shopping done. It's awesome to have friends that have like minds and passions to share.
We started at the wholesale floral market and loaded up with some wonderful spring things.
With bird nest, eggs and cherry blossoms in tow we headed to our next stop, Marietta Queen.
Marietta Queen is a great dealer mall. Several of our friends have booths there. We love to hunt and pick over every booth. As we were oohing and awing over most everything, Carol had by back and obviously my eyes. She spotted a little brown transfer ware sugar bowl. It was definitely calling my name. I love it. I love the shape, the color, and the markings on the bottom. And the best thing about it, I loved the junkin price ( if you know what I mean).




I would love to have a bumper sticker that says.....
JUNKIN WITH BFF'S AND FINDING TREASURES MAKES MY SOUL HAPPY!
